Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Bachelor's Degree preferred for ideal candidate
• One year of clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, assists with planning and providing treatment to assigned patients in accordance with established OT practice and standards of care.
• Monitors and responds to the patient's response to treatment and adjusts as appropriate.
• Determines the need for assessment and reports any changes to the supervising therapist.
• Collaborates and communicates with the interdisciplinary team members regarding patient status and discharge planning.
• Completes documentation on each treatment session within the electronic medical record and accurately documents billing charges.
• Documents daily treatment sessions accurately in the electronic medical record following department standards.
• Accurately completes charge sheets billing within Medicare guidelines with no more than 2 revenue billing errors per month.
