Job summary

The Nurse Resident RN I for 4 North at Moffitt Cancer Center begins a dedicated oncology nursing residency designed to mentor new graduates into professional practice. The program includes structured orientation, online education days, and biweekly evaluation to support development in clinical and leadership skills.

With a 12-month residency (12 or 16 weeks orientation per unit), residents join a multidisciplinary team, participate in required classes, and commit to a two-year employment pledge

Qualifications

• BSN required, with less than 1 year of RN experience.
• Active Florida RN License required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• New-graduate nurses will initiate professional nursing practice in a mentoring environment.
• Develop leadership skills impacting clinical practice and patient outcomes.
• Provide individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families.
• Sign Commitment Agreement to work for a minimum of two years after program completion.
