We are currently seeking a licensed Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to work collaboratively with our Hematology/Oncology Department. Opportunities are available in Clifton and Florham Park, NJ.

Requirements include:

• Current New Jersey State APN License
• Minimum 1-year experience in Medical Oncology preferred

Responsibilities include:

• Function independently to obtain history and perform physical examinations, identify problems, and record information for complex hematology/oncology patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests to meet patients’ needs as well as prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments.
• Perform daily rounds in affiliated hospitals and collaborate with physicians to manage new patient consults, orders, and assessments.
• Dictate all aspects of patient visits into the electronic medical record with copies to the collaborating and referring physicians.
• Provide comprehensive outpatient care in a professional, courteous, effective, and prompt manner. Address patient phone calls and triage care issues promptly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
