Job summary

UCLA Health in Beverly Hills, CA seeks a Nurse Practitioner to provide independent clinical assessment and patient care management for Hematology/Oncology clinic patients. Working with the Medical Director, attending physicians and fellows, you will act as a clinical care extender of the oncologists and ensure high-quality care.

The role requires self-direction with minimal supervision. The NP must hold an MSN or DNP with NP specialty, CA NP and RN licenses, and national board certification.

Qualifications

• BLS certification from recognized provider.
• MSN or DNP with NP specialty required.
• Current CA NP and CA RN licenses required.
• National Board Certification in NP specialty required.
• Ability to independently prioritize work with minimal supervision.
• Experience in oncology patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent clinical assessment and patient care management for Hematology/Oncology clinic patients.
• Communicate with patients, families, and referring physicians; serve as care extender of attending oncologists.
• Triage patients and develop treatment plans under physician supervision.
• Work with electronic medical records (EHR)/EPIC/CareConnect to obtain pertinent patient information.
• Travel to various clinic locations as assigned.
