Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Nurse Navigator at the Coletta Cancer Center in an ambulatory, part-time capacity (20 hours/week). The role focuses on coordinating care with an advanced level of clinical expertise, supporting patients and families, and collaborating with physicians and the care team.

Qualifications include RN licensure, BLS within 30 days, and 2 years of related experience; BSN preferred and oncology experience desired.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an approved school of nursing
• Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science Nursing
• Experience: 2 years related experience
• Preferred Experience: 3 years in oncology setting, education and group facilitation
• Licensure: RN (Registered nurse) licensed in state of practice
• Certification: BLS required within 30 days of hire
• Preferred Certification: Oncology or Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification
• Physical Requirements: Lift 50 pounds, standing/walking, reach and bend

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care across the continuum with clinical expertise.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and team.
• Educate patients and families throughout treatment.
• Support care transitions within Mercy system.
