The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc. (HJF) seeks a Nurse Navigator - Hematology Oncology for the John P. Murtha Cancer Center at Walter Reed Bethesda.

This role coordinates cancer care, ensures timely access, and supports patients and families throughout treatment in a multidisciplinary team. Requirements include active Maryland RN license, 3–5 years oncology or clinical research care, BLS, U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a T3/Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year in clinical research care is required.
• Prior Oncology experience is required.
• Excellent, detail-oriented organizational and data entry skills.
• Able to communicate openly and empathetically with patients, families, and providers.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients and families to provide emotional support and guidance following cancer diagnosis to end of care.
• Provide medical information, education, and resources about internal and external support services.
• Facilitate rapid scheduling, coordinate follow-up care, and track patients for completion of treatment plans.
