Job summary

Mercy South Sindelar Cancer Center in St. Louis, MO seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Navigator to guide oncology patients along their cancer journey. Coordinate care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure timely, high-quality care.

Requires RN license, 2–3 years nursing experience, and BLS; BSN preferred and OCN preferred. This is a full-time, on-site role with Mercy’s comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license in state of practice.
• 2–3 years nursing experience.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and navigate oncology patient care from diagnosis through survivorship.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, procedures, side effects, and resources.
• Facilitate communication among patients, providers, and care teams.
• Develop and execute individualized care plans with physicians and teams.
• Assist with referrals, appointment coordination, and transitions of care.
• Monitor patient progress and address barriers to care promptly.
• Provide emotional support and connect to community resources.
• Document accurately in EPIC and other systems.
• Track outcomes and support quality improvement.
