Job summary

HCA Florida Capital Hospital in Tallahassee, FL, seeks an experienced Oncology Nurse Navigator to guide cancer patients from diagnosis through active treatment. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, educate patients and families, coordinate care, and advocate for timely access to therapies.

This on-site role requires strong nursing background in oncology and commitment to high-quality, compassionate care. Schedules: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Three to five years oncology nursing experience.
• Experience in program development preferred.
• Experience as a nurse navigator and/or patient educator in oncology preferred.
• Experience in leadership and customer service – preferred.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification; Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between patient/family and multidisciplinary providers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Act as patient advocate from diagnosis to end of active treatment.
• Assess medical, social, and psychosocial needs/barriers to care and link to resources.
• Provide teaching, outreach, and support to patients and families to empower self-management.
• Conduct follow-up conversations and communicate concerns to physicians or care providers.
