Baptist Health Floyd Oncology Unit seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care from admission to discharge on a 36-hour weekly schedule (days, 7am–7pm). This full-time role emphasizes teamwork with on-shift staff to meet the needs of patients, families and coworkers.
The 2A unit cares for chemotherapy, hospice, telemetry and post‑op patients. Opportunities to develop oncology skills are available.
In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.
The Oncology Unit, also known as 2A, is a 10-bed unit that provides care to Chemotherapy/Cancer Support/Hospice/Telemetry/Post-Op patients. Nurses have the opportunity to build their skill set in a med/surg atmosphere while also developing specialty skills related to chemotherapy and oncology care.New Graduate LPNs and RNs are welcome.
Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
Chemo Certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
Minimum of one (1) year of previous nursing experience required to hold a PRN position.
