Job summary

HCA Florida West Marion Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit functions during shifts. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs care, serves as a resource for staff, and upholds the organization’s mission and values.

The CNC will participate in admissions/discharges, assess care quality with the team, and support staffing, training, and policy compliance to optimize departmental performance and patient

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Florida RN license (or approved multistate RN license) required; compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida license after relocation.
• Degree: Associate, RN Diploma, or BSN.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, in collaboration with management.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports efforts to improve engagement by implementing nursing strategies like hourly rounds and employee rounding.
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training staff, and oversees performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assists with staff scheduling, manages labor in line with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and helps manage supplies and equipment.
