Job summary

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks an Oncology Nurse Coordinator for the First Shift, Part-Time. This role serves as the primary clinical contact for patients and caregivers, coordinating multidisciplinary care and supporting patients through their cancer journey.

The ideal candidate is an experienced RN with strong communication, education, and advocacy skills, and willingness to work in a fast-paced oncology setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in New York.
• BLS certification or eligibility required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with 1 year oncology/medical-surgical/critical care experience, or 3 years medical-surgical in acute care.
• Associate degree in Nursing with 3–5 years oncology/medical-surgical experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates multidisciplinary care and ensures effective communication among providers.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Acts as the central contact for patient and caregiver inquiries about care plans.
• Anticipates patient needs to ensure timely navigation and service.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to promote adherence to care plans.
• Delivers exceptional patient experience and addresses concerns promptly.
• Interacts with patients via phone, virtual visits, and patient portal to coordinate care.
