Henry Ford Health is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the Oncology unit in Clinton Township, MI. This part-time position covers a midnight shift (6:30 PM–7:00 AM) at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital.

Responsibilities include assisting the RN with patient care, responding to emergencies, and participating in ongoing education while adhering to HFHS standards of excellence. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; CNA preferred or completion of a Nurse Assistant program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• CNA preferred; Nurse Assistant program completion required or equivalent.
• Potential enrollment in nursing program with Fundamentals of Nursing completed.
• Foreign-trained RN relocating to the US without a Michigan RN license may qualify.
• Medical Assistant program with or without experience.
• At least 1 year of NA/PCT/PAT or similar experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under direction of the RN, performs specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
• Provides input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
• Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures.
• Participates in continuing education activities.
• Follows Henry Ford Health System Team Member Standards of Excellence in all interactions.

Education

High school diploma or GED equivalent

CNA preferred; completion of Nurse Assistant program

May be enrolled in nursing program and completed Fundamentals of Nursing

Foreign trained RN relocated to United States without Michigan RN license
