Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process in clinical practice.
• Provide independent medical management of a defined patient population with physician collaboration.
• Perform physical examinations and apply medical interventions as needed.
• Develop protocols and procedures for NP practice in the department.
• Assist in developing systems for medical care and department operations.
• Maintain communication with physicians and health team regarding patient information.
• Educate patients and provide counseling as part of care.
