Job summary

Mayo Clinic Health System Minnesota is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Medical Oncology practice in Albert Lea, with outreach to Owatonna. You will work on diagnostics, treatment planning, and patient education as part of a multidisciplinary team including RNs and support staff.

The roles require licensure as MN RN/APRN or PA with NCCPA certification, BLS, and DEA where applicable.

Qualifications

• Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current MN RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ANP or ACNP.
• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA.
• Registered as a PA by the MN State Board of Medical Practice.
• Active BLS certification at start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain Hematology/Oncology specific histories and physicals.
• Order, interpret, diagnose, and communicate diagnostic results to patients and care team members.
• Devise and implement treatment care plans.
• Facilitate and deliver patient education regarding Hematology/Oncology conditions.
• Provide Hematology/Oncology follow-up care.
• Clinical time will be in the outpatient setting, and may provide infusion center support.
