Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care across ambulatory and inpatient settings in Boston.

The APP will assess, diagnose, and manage diverse patient populations, order and interpret tests, develop care plans, prescribe medications, and document thoroughly in the medical record, with emphasis on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required.
• PA or NP license in state required.
• Experience as a licensed PA or NP preferred.
• Excellent history taking and diagnostic assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.

• Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to policies and procedures.
• Documents thoroughly including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes and discharge summaries.

Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) is a licensed provider. The APP is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes and discharge summaries.
• Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.

Experience

Experience as a licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner preferred
