Job summary

Stanford Health Care in Emeryville, CA seeks an experienced Oncology/Hematology Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to launch an innovative outpatient program delivering same-day care for oncology patients with urgent needs.

The APP will evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute oncology concerns, provide coverage in Infusion Area, and participate in building-wide emergency response efforts, with sign-on bonus and strong collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of autonomous oncology/hematology care.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficiency in cancer diagnoses and treatment options.
• Experience with EPIC EHR preferred.
• Proficiency in procedures such as bone marrow biopsy, paracentesis, lumbar puncture.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats acute oncology patients in outpatient care.
• Obtains histories and performs examinations with appropriate assessments.
• Orders labs, imaging and diagnostic studies as indicated.
• Administers medications per formulary or physician orders.
• Coordinates care with Infusion Area and emergency response teams.
