Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK is hiring a Social Worker MSW for a full-time, 1.0 FTE day shift, 40 hours per week. A $10,000 hiring bonus and relocation assistance are available for eligible external hires.

The Social Worker MSW will provide patient and family social work services, collaborate with the care team for treatment and safe transitions, and advocate for patients' rights under NASW ethics. Licensure in Alaska required at hire (MSW or CSW).

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school.
• Alaska Masters Social Worker License or Alaska Clinical Social Worker License required at hire.
• Two years of medical social work experience preferred.
• Experience with computerized documentation and medical records is preferred at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide social work services to patients and families to meet psychosocial needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe transitions of care.
• Advocate for patients' rights and well-being and uphold NASW ethics.
