Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. seeks qualified clinical laboratory staff to perform and interpret laboratory tests across neonate to geriatric patients in a high-quality clinical lab setting.

Applicants must hold an accredited degree in laboratory science or medical technology and be eligible for certification with agencies such as ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, or HHS. Color-acuity screening is required; military program graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must have degree(s) from an accredited institution and be eligible for a certification examination.
• Certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW).
• Alternative education paths include military program graduates with MLS/MT/CLS certification.
• Grandfathered Medical Technologist status may apply if previously qualified and certified.

Responsibilities

• Performs and interprets laboratory tests in the Clinical Laboratory for diverse patient populations.
• Must submit to a Color-Acuity screening Test.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology

Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology

Graduate of a Military Program in Science with certification as MLS/Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist
