Job summary
Texas Oncology, part of the US Oncology Network, seeks a full-time Medical Physicist for its Dallas metro region. The role focuses on on-site clinical medical physics support across multiple centers, including SRS, SBRT, HDR, and conventional external beam therapy.
The successful candidate will have CAMPEP-accredited training, be ABR-certified or in process, and hold Texas licensure. Collaboration with a multi‑center team and ongoing professional development are emphasized.
Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Medical Physics from CAMPEP-accredited program.
- Completion of CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics residency.
- ABR board certified or in the process.
- Texas state licensure and RAM license eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Full range of on-site clinical medical physics support.
- Occasional on-site or remote physics support for sites within the region.
- Determines the need for, specifies, and accesses dosimetric and treatment planning equipment.
- Advises and consults with physicians on treatment planning.
- Working knowledge of SRS, SBRT, and HDR.
- Experience with Varian linear accelerators.
- Experience with Accuray CyberKnife planning, treatment and QA.
- Experience with Eclipse planning and HDR planning/treatment.
