Job summary

Texas Oncology – Midland seeks a full-time Certified Medical Physicist (MS or PhD) to join our team. The role involves leading HDR, SBRT, and SRS treatment planning with Varian and Elekta equipment, while ensuring radiation safety and RAM licensing compliance.

The successful candidate will hold a CAMPEP‑accredited residency, ABR certification, and Texas licensure, with strong communication and travel readiness to support our Odessa clinic as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Medical Physics from an accredited college or university.
• CAMPEP accredited residency completion is required or preferred.
• ABR board certification (or equivalent).
• Full Texas licensure to practice medical physics.
• HDR planning and treatment experience is required.
• Ability to be added to RAM license.
• Experience with SRS, SBRT, and HDR procedures.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Odessa, TX (20 miles).

Responsibilities

• Support and oversee HDR, SBRT, and SRS treatment planning and delivery.
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards and RAM licensing requirements.
• Collaborate with physics team, clinicians, and dosimetrists to optimize patient care.
• Assist in quality assurance and equipment maintenance for therapy devices.
