- Other Details: The facility which is stroke-certified and trauma level 2 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed. The facility is seeking a Medical Oncologist to provide locum coverage for a primarily outpatient role, Monday through Friday, with hospital call responsibilities. The provider will see approximately patients per day, with a mix of hematology and oncology cases (roughly 30% hematology). This position does not require BMT experience, only hematology. The schedule includes two new consults per day (typically 45 minutes) and follow-ups (30 minutes), with documentation done in EPIC. Call responsibilities include both phone and hospital-based coverage, with about 25% of calls related to hematology. Callback volume is low, around 5%. While on call, the provider is responsible for clinic and hospital calls but not for ER calls. New patient admissions are handled by either the oncologist or APP. The locum will manage a variety of patients, including those with hematologic conditions and solid tumors.
