Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in procedures, perform phlebotomy, conduct basic lab tests, and maintain equipment across our Highland Office. A valid Florida driver’s license for travel to clinics is required, with a high school diploma or GED on hire.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician’s office with the ability to perform venipunctures preferred.
• Valid Florida driver’s license needed for travel to clinics.
• High school diploma or GED required and must be produced at hire.
• BLS required upon hire or obtained within 30 days of employment (FCS provides course).

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures in office.
• Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting, and maintenance.
