Job summary

Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support oncologists and patient care at our Louisiana clinics. The role involves chart preparation, patient communication, and efficient handling of patient records and phone inquiries.

CPR certification is required, CMA certification is required, and at least two years of clinic experience is preferred. Many duties are performed in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment with a focus on compassionate service.

• Experience assisting in a clinic for 2 years or more is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Medical Oncologist when needed and provide patient care.
• Prepare and review charts for medical care to be rendered.
• Handle calls professionally and courteously, and relay information as needed.
• Fill out and scan records into patient charts promptly.
• Support Satellite Office staffing and related clinical duties.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
