Job summary

Qualifications

• One year recent acute care hospital experience or equivalent nursing practice.
• California RN license is required.
• Chemo/biotherapy certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• BLS certification from a recognized organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy for charting and documentation.
• Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine physical and psychosocial assessments following care plans.
• Formulates and contributes to plans of care for patient needs.
• Adapts education for patients and families during care delivery.
• Ensures efficient care delivery and prioritization of actions.
• Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge and experience.
• Advocates for patient rights and resolves conflicts when needed.
