Job summary

HiredFirst is seeking an Oncology Med-Surg RN in Tallahassee, FL to conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. You’ll work with an interdisciplinary team to advocate for patient safety and coordinate care across disciplines.

You will educate patients and families and help ensure efficient unit operations during hospital stays. Minimum 1 year acute care Med-Surg RN experience is required; Florida license is mandatory with compact licenses needing Florida

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Med-Surg RN experience.
• Florida RN license required; compact license holders must obtain Florida license within 60 days of relocation.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS preferred; required within 6 months of hire.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments on the Med-Surg unit and analyze data to inform care plans.
• Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-centered decisions.
• Educate patients and families about medications, procedures, and treatments throughout hospitalization.
• Advocate for patient safety and optimize use of time, supplies, and equipment to maintain efficient unit operations.
