Job summary

Progeny Human Resource Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse for Medical Surgical Oncology in Tallahassee, Florida. The role is full-time with on-site responsibilities in a hospital setting, focusing on patient assessment, advocacy, and education across the care team.

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of recent RN experience, Florida licensure, and current BLS; ACLS is preferred and must be obtained within 6 months of hire. A BSN is preferred to strengthen care delivery.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent RN experience. (Does not need to have acute care experience. IT IS STRONGLY PREFERRED HOWEVER, THEY WOULD BE OPEN FOR LTAC EXPERIENCE)
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required
• Current BLS required
• Current ACLS preferred, required within 6 months of hire
• BSN is preferred

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team
• Analyze the assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation
• Act as an advocate for patient safety.
• Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment.
• Educate patients regarding their medications, procedure and treatments, providing patients and their families with support throughout their stay.
