Job summary

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) in Manhattan seeks a licensed pharmacist to join a fast-paced oncology infusion team. You will prepare chemotherapeutic and biologic medications under aseptic technique, verify orders, and perform dosage calculations in line with USP 797/800 guidelines.

The role includes inventory control, order placement, hood maintenance, compliance with hazardous drug handling, and accurate drug admixture per physician orders.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with registration and USP 797/800 knowledge.
• Experience: 2 years as pharmacist; oncology/infusion experience preferred.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, team-based environment; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare chemotherapeutic and biologic medications under aseptic technique.
• Manage drug inventory and assist with ordering and restocking.
• Handle hazardous drugs per OSHA/NIOSH, maintain lot control docs.
• Admix drugs per physician orders and maintain temperature logs.
• Ensure safe disposal and PPE usage; maintain compliance with guidelines.
