Job summary

Dartmouth Health in Lebanon, TN is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor for Hematology/Oncology Infusion. This full-time role oversees staff, ensures adherence to policies, and supports patient flow and safety in a high-acuity oncology unit.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN with at least 2 years of nursing experience, demonstrates clinical leadership, and has or will obtain CHIC and BLS certifications. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits accompany this leadership position.

Qualifications

• BSN required with at least 2 years of nursing experience.
• Licensed RN in New Hampshire.
• CHIC within 30 days of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and assist with clinic operations as the first-line supervisor to staff.
• Act as a resource to staff, providing direct assistance or connecting them with appropriate resources.
• Model, monitor and enforce compliance with organizational and oncology-based policies and procedures.
• Participate in performance management of staff, including coaching, preparation of performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Address conflicts, mediate and maintain smooth operations of the unit.
• Work with the staff to facilitate patient flow and optimize clinical capacity, flexing staff schedules as needed.
• Plan and organize assignments that foster smooth operations and safe patient care, re-assessing them daily for appropriateness of level of care and acuity.
• Respond to staff and patient/family needs.
• Participate in institutional and NCCC Quality and Patient Safety improvement initiatives, committees and projects.
• Perform all duties of an oncology nurse by functioning as an expert clinician providing direct patient care to oncology patients.
• Develop, plan, coordinate and implement oncology nursing orientation; supervise and evaluate oncology nursing staff competence.
• Maintain nursing best practices.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
