Job summary

Texas Oncology in Baytown, TX is seeking an Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The role supports Baytown location with a Monday–Friday schedule, no weekends or holidays, and no on-call requirements.

The position will be categorized as Level I, II or Senior based on experience, with opportunities to contribute to chemotherapy, radiation planning and diagnostic imaging as part of a high-quality cancer care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with RN licensure.
• Active RN license and current BLS certification.
• Oncology nursing experience strongly preferred; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care according to standards.
• Assess patient/family needs and provide education and instruction.
• Prepare and administer therapies under physician supervision.
• Administer medications and blood products with correct dosing and route.
• Ensure pre-authorization and consent forms are obtained when applicable.
• Adjust dose by reviewing labs and treatment plans with the physician.
• Perform venipuncture, port access, and manage central lines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments.
• Understand reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
