Job summary
US Oncology Inc. in Houston is seeking an Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at The Medical Center location. The role supports infusion therapies, with options for Level I, II, or Senior based on experience.
The position runs Monday to Friday with no weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements, providing a stable daytime schedule. The ideal candidate will hold an RN license with current state registration, BLS, and ideally oncology experience.
Qualifications
- RN with oncology experience preferred.
- Graduates with RN license and current state registration are required/expected.
- BLS certification and continuing education are required.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching materials.
- Administer therapies under physician direction.
- Administer medications/blood products with correct dosages and routes.
- Obtain pre-authorization and consent forms when applicable.
- Adjust dose and consult physician for modifications.
- Perform venipuncture and manage central lines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments.
- Understand reimbursement and charge capture processes.
