Job summary

Parkland Community Health Plan is seeking a Senior Registered Nurse for Oncology Infusion Services. The role is part-time with benefits and requires a Texas RN license, two years of nursing experience, and specialty chemotherapy knowledge.

You will coordinate care, educate patients, and act as a resource for the oncology team. Responsibilities include triage, documentation, in-service education, and supporting the unit as a preceptor and Charge Nurse on rotation.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have two years of nursing experience.
• Must hold current RN license in Texas or compact license; BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy certificate within six months of placement.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patients, maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Provide education to patients and families on cancer care and treatment options.
• Document promptly and accurately in patient records; ensure compliance with standards.
• Manage triage and coordinate care with multidisciplinary team.
• Serve as a preceptor and rotate as a Charge Nurse when required.
