Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a registered nurse in Hollywood, FL to provide direct patient care in a designated specialty unit in line with organizational standards and policies.

The role requires a nursing degree, Florida RN license (or multi-state compact license), and BLS with ACLS/PALS NRPs as applicable. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment with emphasis on patient safety and education.

Qualifications

• Accredited Nursing Program is required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• RN license – Florida and multistate license in other states acceptable; RN Compact License preferred.
• ACLS certification required for ICU, ED, PACU, Endo, Tele, OB, MHN Pre-Op and Specialty Procedural areas.
• PALS and NRP within 30 days for pediatric/NICU assignments.
• Fetal monitoring certification may be required or preferred for certain units.

Responsibilities

• Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel.
• May precept student nurses and new hires.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral, and psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of the patient and/or family and provides patient education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize resources.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
