Job summary

Kettering Health Hamilton is seeking a Registered Nurse in the oncology infusion unit. The role involves delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients receiving hematologic/oncologic treatments, including chemotherapy and biotherapy, while ensuring safety and patient education.

Applicants must hold an Ohio RN license, with BSN preferred and ONS/OCN certifications being highly regarded. BLS is required, and oncology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
• Bachelor of Science in nursing preferred (must be completed within 5 years of hire).
• ONS chemotherapy and Biotherapy administration certification (or obtained within 6 months of hire).
• OCN certification highly preferred.
• At least 1 year of oncology nursing experience required with preference for oncology clinical experience.
• New graduates from non-accredited programs may be considered if they had a clinical rotation at a network hospital.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• The RN provides nursing care to patients in collaboration with other health care providers.
• The RN is accountable for professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law.
• The RN acts as patient advocate for safe care including delegation of care and participation in performance improvement.
• The oncology infusion RN provides care to patients undergoing hematological/oncological treatments.
• Knowledge of chemotherapy/biotherapy administration and instruction for patients and support persons.
