Job summary

UCLA Health in Santa Barbara, CA is seeking an experienced oncology nurse to provide direct care, infusion therapy and thorough documentation for patients in the Community Oncology Practice.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, preparation and administration of chemotherapeutic agents and other IV drugs, as well as patient education and psychosocial support. A BSN/MSN and California RN license are required, with BLS and chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of oncology patient population and infusion therapy.
• BSN/MSN degree required; California RN license required.
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Oncology/chemotherapy infusion experience preferred.
• Experience with central line catheters and IV skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, infusion therapy and documentation for patients in the Community Oncology Practice.
• Assess, evaluate and prepare patients; administer chemotherapy and other IV medications.
• Educate patients and provide psychosocial support.
