Job summary

Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls, MN, is seeking a casual Oncology Infusion Nurse to join the infusion center. The role involves chemotherapy administration, patient education, and coordination of care for oncology patients, with emphasis on safety and documentation in Allscripts EMR.

The position is less than 32 hours biweekly, with day shifts Monday through Friday, and includes comprehensive benefits as part of the Lake Region Healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Registered Nursing program with current licensure in Minnesota.
• Minimum of one year current Oncology nursing experience preferred.
• Must obtain chemotherapy/biotherapy certification within 18 months of working in infusion center.
• OCN certification preferred and encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and monitor patient progress.
• Coordinate care with team to ensure quality, safe treatment and continuity of care.
• Engage in patient education, symptom management and documentation in the EMR.
• Respond to patient calls and support families throughout the treatment course.
