Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an Oncology Infusion RN for the Westwood Medical Pavilion in West. This role provides professional nursing care across assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation focused on cancer care and infusion therapies.

Responsibilities include data collection, patient assessments, IV therapy, documentation, and coordinated care with the team. BSN expected within five years; BLS required; multistate RN license highly valued.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or higher; ADN required with BSN to be completed within 5 years of hire.
• Experience: Oncology or med-surg/acute care experience preferred.
• Licensure: RN license (multistate) and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health data to determine nursing diagnoses and care plans.
• Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy and blood products as ordered.
• Coordinate care with the healthcare team and document changes in the medical record.
• Triage patients, monitor side effects, and communicate with providers for care needs.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and symptom management.
