Job summary

BJC HealthCare’s Oncology/Infusion Pharmacy team at Siteman Cancer Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician III to support ambulatory infusion workflows, collaborating with pharmacists, nurses, and providers to deliver safe, timely cancer care in a specialized setting.

In this role, you will assist in medication order preparation, sterile and non-sterile compounding, inventory management, and use of automated systems while expanding oncology knowledge and contributing to patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Certified pharmacy technician with State Board registration.
• Pharmacy Tech Certification.
• 2–5 years of experience in pharmacy settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintains QA standards and required documentation; regulatory cleanliness compliance.
• Assists in the preparation of medication orders, workflow management, basic preparation & dispensing, and non-sterile compounding.
• Supports inventory activities, including inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness.
• Assumes primary responsibility for a specific task, function or area of specialty, including training, system maintenance, inventory management, workflow, process improvement, and use of electronic/automated systems.
• Pursues proficiency in the preparation of complex sterile compounds; seeks out advanced skills and responsibilities.
