Henry Ford Health is seeking a Pharmacy Specialist to serve as the institutional expert in a major area of pharmacy practice. You will lead planning, development, and implementation of advanced systems and services, and mentor staff to elevate practice standards.

Qualifications

Role Overview

As a Pharmacy Specialist, you will serve as the institutional expert in a major area of pharmacy practice, leading the planning, development, and implementation of advanced systems and services. You’ll work independently to resolve complex issues, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor staff to elevate pharmacy practice standards. Your role is critical in driving research, education, and continuous improvement in patient care.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Completion of a residency training program or equivalent experience in hospital pharmacy practice.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of pharmacist experience or equivalent training.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed Level II pharmacist practice standards.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of Michigan.
  • Proven leadership abilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Record of research and publication in the field of pharmacy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with pharmacy students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • History of reliability, dependability, and willingness to assume additional responsibilities.
