Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• 1–3 years of related nursing experience.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Independently administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologics, supportive therapies and transfusions.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including labs, symptoms and treatment tolerance.
• Identify and respond to adverse reactions and emergent clinical changes.
• Safely place, access and maintain peripheral IVs and central venous access devices.
• Apply evidence-based oncology nursing standards in daily practice.
• Coordinate care across services and serve as a clinical partner within the oncology team.
• Collaborate with BIDMC Boston and other BIDMC ambulatory sites.
• Support continuity of care through shared care plans and referrals.
• Provide education on treatment plans and side-effect management to patients.
• Manage complex clinical telephone triage using advanced nursing judgment.
