Job summary

SunState Medical Specialists (SMS) delivers community-based oncology care in Florida and is part of OneOncology. The Chemotherapy Nurse ensures safe delivery of chemo/immunotherapy infusions and blood product transfusions, while coordinating clinic visits, labs, and follow-up. Strong English communication and oncology experience are essential.

The role requires RN with oncology background, ability to manage multiple tasks, and adherence to HIPAA and safety standards in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Assess patient via telephone and act accordingly.
• Perform multi-tasking in a fast-paced oncology setting.
• Work with physician and team to deliver safe, effective care.
• Experience with chemotherapy drug admixture preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Answer routine questions from patients and families.
• Coordinate oncology and chemotherapy visits and labs.
• Deliver chemo/immunotherapy and blood products.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of drugs.
• Identify learning needs and pursue ongoing education.
