Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center seeks an Oncology Infusion Nurse to influence patient care through collaboration with managers and nursing councils. You will shape decisions that improve patient outcomes and advance the nursing profession.

You will monitor patients, interpret tests, and apply age-appropriate care while supporting service initiatives and performing technical nursing tasks. Strong RN licensure and oncology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required by TN Board or compact state.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Oncology Card required within 6–12 months depending on Oncology experience.
• OCN or BMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes; maintain detailed records.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests for patient condition.
• Apply age-appropriate nursing assessment and care.
• Support hospital customer service initiatives.
• Use nursing process to meet patient needs.
• Perform technical nursing skills and procedures.

What you will do in this role:

• You will monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions while maintaining accurate and detailed records
• You will order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's condition.
• You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
• You will promote hospital customer service initiatives.
• You will utilize nursing process for individual care to meet needs of patients.
• You will demonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures.

What qualifications you will need:

• RN licensure by TN Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state
• BLS from the American Heart Association
• Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Administration Provider Card within 6 months of hire for RNs with six months Oncology experience or 12 months if no Oncology experience.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)or BMT Certified Nurse, preferred
