Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Tennessee is seeking an Oncology Infusion Nurse to influence patient care through open, collaborative relationships with your manager and hospital councils, shaping decisions that elevate outcomes and advance the nursing profession.

In this role you will monitor and report patient changes, order and interpret diagnostic tests, apply nursing processes, and perform technical procedures to support oncology patients.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in TN or compact state.
• BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Oncology Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Administration Provider Card within 6–12 months depending on experience.
• OCN or BMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions with accurate records.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' condition.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth, development, assessment, and care for applicable ages.
• Promote hospital customer service initiatives.
• Utilize nursing process for individualized patient care.
• Demonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures.

What you will do in this role:

• You will monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions while maintaining accurate and detailed records
• You will order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's condition.
• You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
• You will promote hospital customer service initiatives.
• You will utilize nursing process for individual care to meet needs of patients.
• You will demonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures.

What qualifications you will need:

• RN licensure by TN Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state
• BLS from the American Heart Association
• Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Administration Provider Card within 6 months of hire for RNs with six months Oncology experience or 12 months if no Oncology experience.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)or BMT Certified Nurse, preferred
