Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Care in San Antonio, Texas is seeking a Treatment Room LVN to join our Oncology team. This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no evenings or weekends and immediate benefits eligibility.

You will administer IV therapies, conduct nursing assessments, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure safe, high-quality care for cancer patients in our accommodations-focused clinic.

Qualifications

• Current Texas LVN license in good standing.
• Oncology, infusion, or IV therapy experience preferred.
• Strong phlebotomy and venous access skills.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Administer IV fluids and medications as prescribed by physicians.
• Conduct nursing assessments and monitor patients throughout treatment.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, and potential side effects.
• Obtain vital signs, height, and weight and prepare patients for clinic visits.
• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and treatment administration.
• Coordinate care with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain exam and treatment rooms, supplies, and a safe clinical environment.
