Job summary

ASCO seeks a BC/BE Medical Oncologist to join a department with a strong focus on physician retention serving a catchment area of 1.5 million people. The practice is in a large six-story oncology center offering chemotherapy, hormone therapy, immunotherapy, and infusion services with EPIC EMR.

The position allows a 4-day work week, incentives include a base salary of $500,000–$600,000 plus a 10% bonus, sign-on/relocation up to $50,000, education reimbursement or PSLF, and generous PTO (41 days)

Qualifications

• BC/BE Medical Oncologist credential required
• Experience with tumor boards and academic tumor site teams preferred
• Knowledge of infusion therapy, chemo, immunotherapy and targeted therapies beneficial

Responsibilities

• Provide medical oncology care to a high-cidelity patient panel
• Collaborate with RNs, MAs and other staff in an academic-style tumor-site team
• Participate in weekly tumor boards and GME program opportunities

Job Details

• 12-15 patients per day. Call is 1:10.
• Open to a 4-day week.
• Typical team is 1 RN & 1 MA per physician.
• Practice in a large six-story "one-stop shop" oncology center housing social workers, oncology navigators, counseling and more.
• Chemotherapy, Hormone Therapy, Immunotherapy, Infusion Therapy
• Infusion clinic onsite with 45+ bays.
• Option subspecialize 100% in Lung, Head and Neck, GI, Breast, Neuro/CNS, Melanoma and Sarcoma OR pick up to 3 subspecialties.
• Academic style tumor site teams.
• Weekly tumor boards, and an opportunity to work w/ GME program.
• This team and facility has one of the highest retention rates within this health system.
• EPIC EMR.
• Graduating fellows are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

• Base ranging from $500,000 (new grads) to $600,000 practicing physicians.
• 10% bonus based on quality and growth.
• Sign-on / Relocation up to $50,000.
