The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking faculty for an Oncology Hospitalist (Nocturnist) role to provide overnight coverage for the inpatient oncology service in Dallas. The position expects involvement in clinical care, teaching, and training of residents and fellows within the hospital setting.

Board eligibility in Medical Oncology is preferred but not required; Texas licensure eligibility is required.

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology is seeking faculty members with a focused clinical interest in medical oncology hospitalist medicine to join and expand our Oncology Hospitalist (Nocturnist) Program. This position will provide dedicated overnight coverage for the inpatient oncology service and will have a 7-day-on/7-day-off rotating nocturnist schedule.

Applicants must have an M.D. degree or equivalent from an approved LCME medical school, and satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency program from an ACGME accredited program. Candidates must be eligible for Texas medical licensure, at a minimum be board-eligible or certified in Internal Medicine and have recent experience and focused interest in the care of inpatient oncology patients and oncologic complications (including immuno-therapy). Board eligibility in Medical Oncology is preferred but not required. It is expected that the candidate will participate in clinical patient care in the hospital setting and the teaching and training of medical students, house staff and fellows.
