Qualifications

• High School Diploma required. College courses preferred but not required.
• Physician billing experience with knowledge of professional fee billing transactions and regulations.
• Experience with patient or customer information systems.
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and obtain pre-authorizations for phlebotomy, IV infusion, oral meds, radiology, and genetic testing.
• Ensure orders meet NCCN guidelines.
• Interact with patients to collect financial documents for drug assistance programs.
• Maintain confidentiality in all patient and staff dealings.
• Communicate with insurers, staff, and patients to obtain authorization.
• Coordinate Peer-to-Peer reviews with payers.
