Job summary

Summit Cancer Care, P.C. seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join our Oncology & Hematology team in Savannah, GA. The APP will care for patients across the cancer journey, collaborating with physicians and staff to improve outcomes.

The role requires 3–5 years of direct patient care, oncology experience preferred, and nursing or PA licensure. Expect active EHR use, care coordination, and patient education as core duties.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN, DNP) or PA degree.
• 3–5 years of direct patient care as an APP or Oncology RN (required)
• 1–2 years of direct patient care as an APP in Oncology/Hematology (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate quality of care and recommend improvements with physicians and management.
• Assess physical and psychological status using history, exam, and tests.
• Document assessments and plans accurately in the EHR (Aria, Meditech, EPIC, Cerner).
• Educate patients and families about cancer disease, treatment, and side effects.
