Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Genetic Counselor to join our multidisciplinary care team. You will provide comprehensive genetic counseling, risk assessment, and testing services while educating patients and families about hereditary risks.

Responsibilities include coordinating testing, supporting care coordination, and contributing to research and program development. This is a full-time day-shift role focused on patient-centered care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Genetic Counseling, Human Genetics, Molecular Genetics, or related field required.
• Board certification through ABGC or ABMGG required; certification preferred upon hire.
• Two or more years of genetic counseling experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive genetic counseling services to individuals and families.
• Conduct detailed genetic risk assessments from personal and family histories.
• Educate patients on hereditary risk factors, testing options, outcomes, and follow-up care.
• Provide psychosocial support throughout the patient care journey.
• Interpret data and collaborate with physicians to develop treatment recommendations.
• Coordinate and facilitate genetic testing, including informed consent and results communication.
• Participate in clinical research and community outreach initiatives.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and adherence to Trinity Health policies.
