College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy seeks a finance-focused professional to initiate and monitor financial and coverage aspects of comprehensive oncology care. Responsibilities include insurance eligibility, benefits verification, pre-certifications, and financial counseling throughout cancer services.
Must understand insurance terminology, be willing to learn Epic and Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, and work in a team environment with strong communication skills.
Position will be part of a strong team focused on initiating, monitoring and assessing all financial and coverage aspects of comprehensive oncology and hematology care. The includes participation and/or oversight related to insurance eligibility, verification of benefits, pre-cert / prior authorization, assistance and coverage resources, and financial counseling throughout the continuum of cancer services.
Writing skills, knowledge and demonstration of proper grammar and spelling in documentation, accurate and efficient typing speed, ability to respond to and anticipate needs of provider and patient, skilled at operating computers and troubleshooting when necessary, ability to use and understand documents required throughout execution of duties, ability to maintain and adjust to changing needs of providers(s), ability to work independently as well as with a team, strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, ability to perform several tasks at one time and react calmly and effectively in an emergency situation
