Oncology Field Medical Director, Thoracic (MD required)

Role Summary

You will provide therapeutic area/product expertise for the Thoracic Oncology Team across various Medical customer segments and initiatives in New England.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute Medical strategy and engagement within your territory, coordinating with Pfizer colleagues to achieve objectives.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant TA/disease states and Pfizer medicines; provide information to stakeholders.
  • Serve as a resource for Medical Information and customer insights, sharing information and customer viewpoints appropriately.
  • Contribute to Medical content strategy development and execute aligned Field Medical tactics.
  • Communicate effectively across multiple channels and deliver medical content about Pfizer medicines.
  • Engage with priority customer segments and respond to medical requests in compliance with Pfizer guidelines.
  • Lead advisory boards and manage inbound queries from HCPs.
  • Collaborate on clinical trial site identification and support Investigator Sponsored Research.
  • Maintain therapeutic expertise, including latest congress data and literature.
  • Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs in professional associations and serve on cross-functional committees.
  • Mentor and participate in special projects as needed.
Basic Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree required.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Recognized subject matter expert with excellent communication skills.
Additional Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects remotely, prioritize effectively, and work in a matrix environment.
  • Strong leadership, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel 60-80% and operate a Pfizer company car.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SOPs/regulations regarding medical interactions.
  • Previous Field Medical experience.
Work Location

Remote - Field Based (New England).

Compensation and Benefits

Annual salary ranges from $219,800 to $366,400, with bonus potential and long-term incentives. Benefits include 401(k), paid leave, health coverage, and more.
